• 75 government engineering students inducted; 50% are women
• Scholarship covers tuition fee reimbursement, allowance, IT assets and a holistic development journey
Siemens Energy India announced the first batch of scholars under its flagship CSR initiative, Energy4Good, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to nurturing India’s next generation of engineering talent.
Based on Germany’s Dual Education system, the four-year scholarship program goes beyond financial assistance. It combines academic support with structured industry exposure to help high-potential and meritorious engineering students become industry-ready professionals. The inaugural cohort represents some of the country’s brightest young minds selected for their academic excellence, perseverance, and potential.
As part of the program, the company will provide these scholars with technical and soft skills training, project-based learning, internships, mentoring, and structured guidance throughout their academic journey.
Notably, 50% of the scholars in this cohort are young women—reinforcing the company’s commitment to advancing gender diversity and fostering greater inclusion within the engineering profession.
Guilherme Mendonca, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Siemens Energy India Limited (SEIL), said: “Through the Energy4Good scholarship program, Siemens Energy India is investing in the country’s next generation of engineers. The program offers financial assistance, real-world industry exposure, and soft skills training to help them become industry-ready professionals and future leaders.”
Sidhi Thorbole, one of the Energy4Good scholars, said: “This is a proud moment for me and my parents as this opportunity gives me a powerful jumpstart toward becoming industry‑ ready and opens the door to a great future. Four years from now, I hope to return as a proud scholar alumna—ready to contribute to the industry and the country.”
